Hello! I am 16 (as of december, 2008) and have been into ham radio for only about a year now. I got into it through my family; I am the 4 generation of hams in my family! I operate mainly out of two locations: Windham, NH and Rumney, NH. I am interested in building stuff and the different operating modes. I am new to CW, so if you contact me, thanks for your patience! I am working on getting some envelopes to the skcc and fists buros, so in a month or two qsling via those buros will be good. Tks fer call om!
I am an active cw (morse code) operator and an a member of the SKCC(straight key century club), FISTS cw club, and NAQCC (north american QRP cw club). I am a huge fan of the SKCC. If you are interested in doing HF CW, get in touch with these guys. They have been great support for me just starting out. No membership fees! There is a scheduling page for those who want to arrange contacts called www.obriensweb.com/sked/index.html . Check it out.
I am currently a sophmore (grade 10) in high school at an excessively small school called Derryfield in Manchester, NH. At school, I do sound for the assembles and the occasional play.
When I get older, I will probably go into an engineering field. I am not sure which one, but I am leaning towards electrical engineering or software engineering.
Lastly, I want to say thanks to my parents, my grandfather (N1ATD), and Bill (NE1B) for encouraging me and pushing me around. It's been fun.
